This review is only for the Bliss Spa, but an important consideration if you're into partaking in a spa visit as part of your stay at the W Westwood.

Came here April with a friend who literally lives across the street for some massages. While the spa is small, the locker room doesn't seem so small, but the rest of it does. The waiting lounge is a tiny and doesn't afford any opportunity to sit with a friend and chat between yourselves without everyone hearing what you're talking about. Forget where they were from, but this was a new one for me and welcomed. They're bite-sized little squares - so, totally guilt-free!

At least that's what I told myself since I couldn't tell my friend without everyone hearing me tell her - though, I guess I did mouth, "I love these things" each time I gulped one down. Anyways - onto the massage itself which, sadly, was a HUGE disappointment. This was a treat from my friend, so, I was a little weirded out when the masseuse made a big spiel about "upgrading" my massage when I gave her the rundown of my knotty shoulders and how that's what I really wanted focus on. It was like the proverbial elephant in the room where I couldn't be sure how much this "upgrade" would cost and the masseuse was being coy and not very forthcoming except to say she couldn't do much more without "upgrading".

Or, maybe it was my knotty shoulders - but, honestly, I felt like it was the lightest massage ever - sort of like a touchless carwash, but a touchless massage - I guess the car gets washed and so I got massaged. It was relaxing, but I left feeling like the masseuse deliberately held back and gave me her "I'll barely touch you at all and see how you like that for not upgrading little missy!

I gave 2 stars for the brownies otherwise, this would've barely eeked out the one star for the minimal relaxation it afforded. As soon as I entered the spa I felt a calming "bliss" come over me. The front desk host was super nice and energetic. He was very helpful and pleasant throughout the entire day without a hitch, from when I spilled my drink to offering me cheese and crackers when he overheard me say I was hungry.

Shane, the manager, was absolutely adorable and kind. He always had a smile on his face and he was gracious in all his actions, even when directing me out of the building when their was a slight dilemma not due to the bliss spa, in any way His team always put my welfare and feelings above their own.

I left my rings but he made sure to bring them to me, carefully and with deep concern of my property. I was extremely thankful. Joel performed my massage experience and he made me feel at home.

He took care of me and went out of his way to make sure I had a wonderful experience. His techniques were perfection. I received and recommend the Bliss 75 massage, Reflexology, The Love Handler, a scalp treatment, manicure and pedicure. Inga did my nails and she was pure southern hospitality.

She was a delight to speak with and she did a wonderful job on my nails. Alice was a sweet employee who constantly checked on me, during and after the dilemma. She was very motherly and it made me feel special. The facility was quite nice. I loved the dry sauna and the showers. I absolutely loved all the bliss products I got to use while I was there. One little touch that really made my day was I had a place to put my cellphone in my locker.

A cute holder on the door so I could have easy access to it, if needed. I am very glad I decided to go to this spa. I had originally planned on going to the Beverly Wilshire Spa but I am very happy with my decision.

Love the location, but the Spa is just OK. Upon check in I was immediately taken to the locker area. Not that many people were there so it was nice and quiet. She was nice and kept me informed about what to expect from the treatment. She was also good at checking throughout the treatment to make sure I was comfortable, but wasn't so chatty that I couldn't relax.

The massage itself was good.
